It was a blessing to receive the National Director of Missio Switzerland Deacon Martin and his Team Member Ms Silvie Roman in India. During their stay between 29th November and 13th December 2016, they were able to cover several Mission Stations, accompanied by PMO National Director Fr Faustine Lobo.

At Gulbarga, with the warm welcome from Bishop of Gulbarga HE Robert Miranda and his jubilant Team at Bhalki, Bidar, the Missio Switzerland Team working with the National Office Team of PMO India, were able to review MCA activities at the Bhalki Divya Jyothi High School and Hostel, MCA programme at the Holy Redeemer Church Bhalki, Mission Stations at AIDS rehabilitation centre SPARSH at Kaudiyal, St Antony’s Balakalyana-Ashram for Boys at Basavakalyan, Beeri, Nittoor, MCA work at Nideban, Holy Cross Balasadana at Santhpur, Mother Teresa’s Charitable Hospital at Kotnoor etc. Some of the pictures from their visit are attached here.

So also at Bellary, they were heartily welcomed by the Bishop of Bellary HE Henry D’souza and his enthusiastic Team, and with the PMO National Director Fr Faustine Lobo they visited several mission stations, schools, hospitals and centres for the physically and mentally challenged, also witnessing several MCA activities and programmes in these places. Anugraha Special School, MC Ashrama, Nava Jeevan Centre, St Mary’s Orphanage, St Martin’s Home, Deeksha Bhavana, Boarding Schools at Maski, Kowtal and children’s home at Hospet were some of the places they covered during their short stay in Bellary Diocese.

They were overjoyed with the pictures and video recordings they collected of several MCA programmes in both Dioceses. One-to-one interviews with religious priests and sisters, children of MCA, were some other highlights of their missionary journey. While the Bishops and Priests from the Dioceses organized the activities, both National Directors entertained the children with heart-warming stories and snippets to help them onward in their mission as “little missionaries”.
