Visit from Maltese Delegation – 11th to 15th February 2016

The National Office of the Pontifical Mission Organization (PMO) India was delighted to welcome 3 guests from Malta, who were on their month long visit to Mission Territory India.

This missionary team consisted of Msgr Salvinu Micallef, Fr Rosario Galdes and Mr Patrick Fenech.

Msgr Salvinu has served as Priest for more than 40yrs, 30 of which have been as Parish Priest in 4 Parishes. As the National Director for PMS Malta since 2008, he has been working with around 700 Maltese Missionaries working in several places of Asia, Africa, South America and some other regions. His team consists of Priests, Religious and Lay Evangelizers who visit mission territories to experience firsthand, the situation in various Missions.

Fr Rosario Galdes is currently celebrating his Silver Jubilee of priesthood! He has worked for the Church run Maltese Radio for 7yrs. He serves as Priest Welfare Officer of the Diocese while attending to the PMS Mission activities.

Mr. Patrick Fenech is a close associate of Msgr Salvinu. Since 8yrs now, he has been in charge of collections and Parish affairs while also working in the PMS Shop. He is a distributor of Magazines and has a special charm in organizing Bazaars! Most happiest of all, he enjoys cooking for the PMS Team! Being the last of 11 children (10 boys and 1 girl) his adaptive nature with people of all ages ensures that there is much joy and sharing going around.

The Maltese Team took part in the HCA Day (Holy Childhood Association Day) celebrations organized at the St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral and St Mary’s Basilica on the 14th of February 2016. They were happy to interact with the children gathered and witness for themselves the works of the HCA in Bangalore.
