Archdiocesan Catholic Enquiry Centre’s Advent Recollection Programme
On the 15th of December 2020, National Director of Pontifical Mission Organizations, Rev Fr Ambrose Pitchaimuthu, animated an Advent Recollection Programme at the Archdiocesan Catholic Enquiry Centre, Infant Jesus Shrine, Viveknagar, Bangalore, for their Co-workers, Staff and Collaborators.
Following the theme “Be my witnesses” (Acts 1:8) each participant joyfully witnessed their role in the unique mission of the Archdiocesan Catholic Enquiry Centre (CEC) in making known Lord Jesus to the people of other faiths.
Elaborating on the ‘Visitation’ in the Gospel of St Luke, Chapter 1, verses 39-45, Rev Fr Ambrose Pitchaimuthu connected Elisabeth’s uninhibited joy that turned into an ecstatic proclamation on seeing her cousin Mary, with that of the mission’s giving of Lord Jesus to the seekers and Enquirers who visit the Shrine. The presence of God as Lord Jesus in the womb of Mary although not visible for all, became an encounter that Baby John in the womb of Elisabeth experienced, causing him to leap with joy, he said. He extoled the importance of giving the Good News, a God-experience for the receiver.
Rev Fr Joseph Menezes, Parish Priest and Rector of the Infant Jesus Church and Shrine, Viveknagar, Bangalore, heartfully felicitated Rev Fr Ambrose Pitchaimuthu and warmly welcomed him to celebrate the Holy Eucharist for the Parish Church. The time of fellowship that followed was one of sharing and prayerful celebration.
