During the Plenary Assembly of the CCBI held at St John’s National Academy for Health Sciences, Bangalore, this PMO Handbookwas released on 16th February 2020, by Most Rev Filipe Neri Ferrao, President of CCBI and Chairman of the PMO Board of Trustees and the first copy was received by Most Rev George Antonysamy, Vice President of CCBI and Member of the PMO Board of Trustees.
Rev Fr Ambrose Pitchaimuthu, National Director PMO India, conveyed his heartfelt thanks to His Eminence Oswald Cardinal Gracias, Most Rev Giambattista Diquattro the Apostolic Nuncio for India, Archbishops, Bishops and other National Leaders present at the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI) Plenary Assembly, for their kind collaboration for the Extraordinary Missionary Month October 2019 Programme for World Mission Sunday and their generous contribution towards Universal Solidarity Fund during his update session.
He invited their special attention once again towards making the Missionary Childhood Associations Day (2nd Sunday of February) and St Peter the Apostle Day (last Sunday of June/1st Sunday of July) a time of eventful celebrations just as is the case with the World Mission Sunday.
Highlighting that the Revised Format of the application forms for projects for all Pontifical Mission Societies included the mandatory field for CHILDREN PROTECTION POLICY, he requested that this information be pervasively disseminated among the Diocesan Administration.
He also gently reminded those present to ensure that the three collections are remitted correctly into the three specific accounts on or before 25th February 2020.
He closed his presentation capsuling the need to organise animation programmes in the future through the National Council.
