Regional Directors Meeting – 26th – 27th February 2019
A two day deliberation on the Extraordinary Missionary Month October 2019 (EMM OCT2019) was held at Vidyadeep (CRI Brothers) College in Bangalore on the 26th and 27th of February 2019 during the Regional Directors Meeting of the Pontifical Mission Organizations INDIA.

Noted scholars Bishop Dr Raphy Manjaly, Chairman, Commission for Proclamation, CCBI, along with Rev Fr Dr John Bosco SMA and Rev Fr Dr John Baptist, Executive Secretary, Commission for Bible, CCBI, were among the speakers. Rev Dr Stephen Alathara, Deputy Secretary General, CCBI, gave the key-note address and was consultant in the discussion regarding the EMM OCT2019 Programme for India, along with Rev Fr Sagaya John, Director, NBCLC and Rev Fr Faustine L Lobo, Director, RPC. Rev Fr Vijay Kumar Rayarala, Regional Superior PIME, re-iterated the need for highlighting the missionary spirit of the apostolic letter Maximum Illud, which celebrates its centenary this year.

Several Executive Secretaries from various Commissions of the CCBI actively participated in the learning and planning sessions. Rev Fr Panneer Selvam, Executive Secretary, Commission for Proclamation, CCBI, helped set the priorities right for the road ahead taking into account reports from various teams.

Lay Leaders who were present shared their inspiring testimonies on the faith and the power of the presence of Christ Jesus in their mission.

With Regional Directors of the Pontifical Mission Organizations INDIA from Agra, Andhra & Telangana, Bihar, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, North East, Odisha and Tamil Nadu, the National Director Rev Fr Dr Ambrose Pitchaimuthu spear-headed the beginning of a movement for the EMM OCT2019 in India.

All in all, it was a time of great of missionary discipleship for all participants.
